Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Seel (“Seel,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our line-sheet service, how we use that information, and the choices you have. It applies to brands signing up for an account and to buyers who receive a magic link to view a brand’s line sheet.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated as you use the service, and a small amount of technical information collected automatically.
Account information
When you create a brand account we collect your email address, a password (stored only as a hash by our identity provider), your brand name, slug, contact email, website, and any social links you choose to add.
Brand content
We collect and store the content you upload to your line sheet — product names, item numbers, descriptions, sizes, prices, photos, season/category metadata, and any other catalog data you publish.
Buyer information
When a brand invites a buyer, we collect the buyer’s label, email address (if provided), and a unique access token. When a buyer uses their link, we record activity such as which products they view, which items they add to their selection, and orders they submit through the service.
Payment information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or other sensitive payment details on our own servers. We retain a Stripe customer identifier, subscription identifier, plan tier, and subscription status so we can apply your plan’s features.
Technical information
We collect information generated automatically when you use the service: IP address, browser type, device type, referrer, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
2. How we use the information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the service;
- Authenticate brand accounts and buyer magic-link sessions;
- Process subscription payments through Stripe and apply the features of your plan;
- Generate analytics for brands about their own buyers’ engagement (views, opens, top items, orders);
- Generate aggregate analytics for ourselves so we can understand usage, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve the product;
- Send transactional emails (account confirmations, buyer invites, order requests, billing receipts);
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We treat the catalog data, buyer information, and order requests uploaded by a brand as that brand’s data. We use it to operate the service for that brand and may use de-identified, aggregated versions of it to improve and develop the service.
3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information with the third-party service providers (“subprocessors”) that help us run Seel:
- Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- Stripe — subscription billing and customer-portal management.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
Each of these providers receives only the information required to perform its function and is obligated to handle it in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy.
4. Buyer-facing data
A buyer who receives a magic link sees only the brand’s line-sheet content (catalog, photos, prices, sizes) and is able to submit order requests to the brand. The buyer is identified to the brand by the label and (optional) email the brand chose when sending the invite. Buyers do not see information about other buyers, other brands, or Seel-internal data.
Brands are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the data they upload, and for obtaining any consents required from their buyers before sending an invite.
5. Data retention
We retain account, brand, buyer, and order data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, billing records held to comply with tax obligations).
6. Your choices
You can update most of your account information from Dashboard → Settings. You can delete your account from Account; doing so cancels any active subscription and starts the deletion process described above. To request access to or deletion of information we hold about you outside the in-app flows, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your in-progress selections, and measure usage of the service in aggregate. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Children
Seel is intended for businesses. The service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable age), and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
Seel is operated from the United States. By using the service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States and other jurisdictions where our subprocessors operate.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
